Sitton Peak was the last hike in the challenge. After having failed to get to the trailhead a couple of weeks ago due to road closure, I decided to hike Sitton Peak and complete the Socal Six Pack of Peaks challenge. After days of rain, today was a perfect day to hike. Made it to the parking lot across the Candy Store around 10.00 AM. It was sunny with clear skies. Unfortunately I took the wrong trail (loop trail) and after about 2 miles I was told I was heading the wrong direction and had to retrace back to the parking lot. After checking at the Candy Store and the map outside I finally got onto the right trail. The trail was wet but was not an issue to hike with my hiking boots. As I was nearing the top the clouds started rolling in. I was the last one at the summit and it got cold. After a few pictures and a chat with a couple who were also doing this as part of the challenge, I started to head back. The views from the top were stunning. It took me a little less than 4 hrs to complete the hike. It definitely is a nice hike and I highly recommend it.
