Beach sunsets are and always have been my thing, but as I’ve been chasing peaks in the last year I’m learning that watching the sunset ???? from the top of a mountain, now there’s something glorious about that…. and then to hike off the mountain under stars, full moonlight, and an eclipse, now that’s something else! ✨ This hike was done before sunset and throughout the super blood wolf moon lunar eclipse. It was sooo cool seeing the  eclipse ???? roll in as we trekked down the mountain. Trail was fairly easy until that last 0.5 mile which was all a climb. Some mud slide washes and muddy puddles but mostly compacted. Coming back in the dark was easier than expected but still alertness was on point. Weather at peak was cold after sunset but when hiking, I warmed up quickly.
