Started the hike at 6:30 am and the way up we say literally no one until we got to the peak and it was just 2 people. The weather going up was perfectly overcast and not too hot. Saw lots of pretty flowers and the manzanita trees were blooming (my first time seeing them!) The last half mile, as everyone says, is a challenge. I had a foot/ankle injury but still made it anyways ???????? The way back there were lots of people coming up and it was signiiiificantly hotter. Definitely a good idea to start early even though it's not that long of a hike. Took us about 3.5 hours. Also, just a little request to fellow hikers, can we just keep music in headphones? I love the sound of the breeze going through the trees, the bees busy collecting pollen and the birds singing their songs. That's the kind of music I would like to listen to but can't when there's a mini boom box bumping today's top 40. Just though I'd add that ????‍♀️
