Sitton Peak hike is another great training hike located in beautiful area off Ortega highway.
Not many large trees along trail but hills and peaks are green with shrubbery.
Trail was lightly travelled for a Saturday, passing a few fellow hikers along the way in and out.
Trails are well marked with destination and distance.
Last half mile (or so) of trail to summit is steep and sandy, easy to slip/fall even with good footwear.
360 views at summit are worth the effort to get there.
