First peak for my first hiking challenge! Glad to be sunny after so many intermittent weeks of rain! I found the hike to be relatively easy, save for the 1/2 mile(ish) I’d scramble just before the peak. And down the scramble was trickier. Deep and narrow water ruts that had to be walked in. Loose rocks in them. Beautiful with the butterflies still migrating thru. In the distance, a few snow capped peaks and even a distant hill if poppies, in contrast. IG: jolyei
