I took my 9-year-old son to Sitton Peak to get him trained for the big ones. The hike was not too bad except flies here and there. We started late and by the time we got to the peak, it was almost sunset. The sign on the peak was missing. As always, the last part of the hike scrambling to the peak is a butt-kicker. We had to walk back in the dark with our headlamps on. This hike is always fun except I picked the wrong time to go there and the traffic was pretty bad on this Friday afternoon.
