The trail was a bit muddy in some spots. It was a very warm day and the trail was easy and fun to maneuver /climb with no trekking poles. I have since bought some and use them on every hike, but I didn't have them for this peak.
The views at the top are so pretty in all directions and I was amazed that such a fun peak was so close to my house.
The return to our cars, the trail felt isolated and we kept hearing large animals about, but we didn't encounter any.
All in all, a great hike and I love passing through the primitive campground of 4 corners. Would love to backpack up there soon when the weather cools again.
