Beautiful day for our first peak hike of the year! The sun was shining, high 60s! Trail was almost 100% dry with just 2 tiny areas with trickling water you could easily step over. Last .3 of the trail was a scramble up and even more of a scramble down. The loose and dry terrain made for lots of slipping, sliding, and small tumbles, resorting in some booty scooting. Felt great to be out on the trails chasing my teenager who was stoked to hike her first 10 miler, she’s hooked! 10 miles, 4hr:14min, 3273ft.
