We started at 5:30 a.m. and planned the hike well ahead of time to ensure there were no road closures on Hwy 74. The way up was fairly moderate, and a great workout. Steady incline but nothing too challenging. The last half mile was all incline and some scrambling. It rained a little too, and made for a nice overcast after the rain subsided. The peak was beautiful! We were all so happy to get there. The descent from the peak was very challenging. I slipped a couple of times, but no injuries thankfully. Total time was around 7 hours (including breaks and time at the peak).
