We started at 6 AM, the weather was perfect. We did have to peel off a few layers throughout the entire hike. Bugs were present but not overwhelming. There were several different species of wild flowers blooming and many lizards. The last half a mile to the peak was extremely steep and washed out from the rain. Had to take it very slow as not to trip and tumble down the mountain. Great challenging hike!
