We arrived at the trailhead at 5:30 a.m. to try and beat the heat… it's a good thing we did, when we finished at 11:00 a.m. it was 86 degrees. The trail was in good shape overall, but man… those last 1/4 – 1/2 miles! Holy smokes that was steep, rutted, rocky and scree-filled! That part was a challenge going UP and DOWN. The summit views are gorgeous! 360-degree views, so beautiful!
