My all time favorite hike, I don't know if it's because of how fast you gain elevation or because of how beautiful the trail is. But the views on this one, my God unbelievable.
We started this hike at 6.30 to our surprise we had cloud inversion. We contemplated on going to big horn to see the clouds but I argue that on top it would look better. As we trekked up the clouds began to move, it felt like fog and I had a feeling that the clouds will disperse at the top. At the very beginning snow hit the trail it wasn't bad. We continued like half a mile to the summit it's when the snow got deep and the trail dissappear. We literally went up in a straight line. We tried to follow footprints, I went ahead with Roxy to find the trail and to check if it was safe. I managed to scramble to the snow till I got to the part where the trail gets narrow towards the summit. And let me tell you the views man oh man. The cloud inversion was more than I expected. we were literally on top of clouds, it was the most amazing view I've seen. The vast amount of cloud coverage made it amazing. Since we did this on a Sunday the trail was overcrowded not my cup of coffee but hey people enjoy it aswell. At the summit it was congested of people so we decided to continue up and down till we find a place to sit and enjoy the views and have some snacks. On our way back I ate it, problably like 3 times, but overall lots of fun at the snow.
