Snow:

Intermittent snow – not hard to cross

Started hike about 12 15 and were back in car by 5 30. Felt like we were in another part of the country with lush meadows, pines and snow on the ground and in the trees. Lots of deer and birds including turkey vultures. Great hike but must admit a mile + each way on the fire road pavement was not the best part of trip. Not very busy on the trails. Estimate we did about 11+ miles by taking different trails off the most direct route to peak. Azalea Loop to Fireroad to Conejos.
