This was my first hike up Mount Baden-Powell in the snow. Fortunately I had my microspikes and poles and the trail remained visible despite being covered in snow. Had the trail been whited-out though I would have turned back. In any case this was a solo hike although it was a pleasure to run into Jesse N. on his way down while I was headed up. Without the microspikes and someone breaking the trail earlier in the morning, I would not have continued all the way to the summit. I made it there for sunset and hiked back on the way down with a headlight. The summit was icy – the benchmarks were not visible and the podium containing the register was frozen so no signing the register on this peak. I got back to my car at around 7 PM.
