Snowfields to cross – could be difficult

This is an easy hike most of the time, dicey with snow, and dangerous with lots of snow. April is catch as catch can. This year we didn't get enough snow, but there was still some up high. Microspikes were recommended, although as always there were people who didn't know any better who pushed. Hike your own hike. I enjoyed it, but I always do.

Coming from Dawson Saddle, Islip Saddle or Crystal Lake is better, but the first two were inaccessible and the third was more than I wanted that day, so I chose to go up from Vincent Gap. It's all good. Any route is a good route.
