We got to the trailhead at 6:30am and were some of the last to be parking and getting ready. Snowpack began at the trailhead start, but in the first mile there was spots of no snow. We were splitboard skinning up so I boot-strapped the first mile before putting on my skins. The first part through the holds was pretty steep for skins but all manageable for me. Then there was a 2-3 mile valley of flatter and more gradual climbing to be done. It was easy to pace on skins. Lots of sun cups. Then the last two miles of the ascent were the steepest where I'm pretty sure we did 1700 feet over the last mile-ish. It was probably 50-60 degrees with the sun up, no wind, and blue bird skies. We got to the summit shortly around 1pm. We took our time taking in the views. Then we strapped into our snowboards and began the long descent down. We did get to the valley where we had to cross country ski for a couple miles before getting back to the wood line. It took us about 13 hours total to complete the hike. Nothing to crazy in terms of obstacles or anything technical, just a long day. Beautiful trail and mountain. Amazing views and awesome experience.
