Started before dawn and was 1st one up nb the trail. This led me to remove every spiderweb on the way up with my face…yuk!! After Spruce Grove I put on Mosquito net due to bugs as was glad I did.
Coming down the peak about a 1/4 on the Wilson trail in the burnt area a 5 foot Rattlesnake and I scared the crap out each other. Glad I was using poles as that moment!!! Tons of poison ivy turning red along trail. Had small rash above sock line.
Finished in 6 and 1/2 hours with a minimal break at the top. Great hike and it kicked my butt
