My husband and I had plans for this morning, but  had to postpone them to the evening. So, last night, I decided that I would join a group that was going to Potato Mountain this morning.

Unfortunately, I was running late, and knew that I wouldn’t make it to the trailhead by their 6am takeoff.

I regrettably canceled and considered what else I could do until my husband and I could hit the road. My bright idea was a spur of the moment hike of Mt Baden Powell. I am not a solo hiker and nothing about today, changed that, except that I can at least say that I’ve tried it.

The weather was great, the trail was pretty easy to follow, except that I missed the switchback behind the bench. Off trail for about 5 minutes, I was able to get back on track and stay on track.

I was intimidated when I arrived to the trailhead. So much so, that I almost turned around and  jumped back into my car. So glad I didn’t! Two down, 4 to go!  #wecandohardthings
