The main Redbox Canyon Picnic Area parking lot was closed, so cars flooded the roadway shoulders. I was surprised by the amount of cars there to be honest, but I guess it made sense since it was a Sunday at 9AM. Started the hike at 9:30AM, encountering a few people on the way to the summit. Sun was shining although it was not cold, kept my 1/4 zip on the entire hike. Stayed for a short period on the summit before climbing back down. Did a bit of trail running down the peak, walked the middle 1 mile or so, then trail ran all the way back to the car. Total elapsed time was 2:55, moving time was 2:31, and average pace was 20:20, with the fastest split at 10:55. This hike was much easier than the last time I did this in the heat of summer.
