It was a hot day in the lowlands and we hoped we could get away from the heat up here .. we didnt. It was a hot day which made the hike feel longer than normal. We saw several other hikers and families hiking along the trail although not all of them made it to the peak. We reached the peak and stopped to have lunch. Several other hikers made it up to the top and we were all fighting to find shade. After posing for pictures and taking pictures we headed back down. We thought about grabbing another peak but what looked like a trail on the map looked overgrown and very faint. We didnt have the energy attempt to bushwack up to the peak so we headed down grabbing geocaches along the way. My GF was feeling the grind so we did not take any detours for other geocaches and headed back to the car to get more fluids in us and sit in the car's AC.
