Strawberry Peak was our 2nd hike of the challenge.  I'm glad I read the guides first and prepared myself mentally for those “false” peaks!  It was a little daunting and steep, but I'm also not an expert hiker.  I saw people running the trail, so I suppose it's not very challenging for expert hikers.  When we reached the peak a few other hikers had come up the other side on the mountaineering side and said it was super challenging, so if you're looking for a challenge maybe do that route instead.  Our route was fairly easy, nice easy incline the first half, and then you start going up and down the peaks.  There were little patches of snow, but nothing to impact the trail itself.  We brought strawberries to eat at the top, because, well you have to! lol.  Wear pants!  There was spikey foliage you walk through that I could feel poke me through even hiking pants.  Online said to beware of Poodle-dog bush, didn't see any that I know of but based on the comments I'm glad I avoided it!  If you don't know what it is, look it up and beware!  We went with 50ish weather but it was still rather warm and not a whole lot of shade.  Overall, great hike with great views!
