This is my second time doing this trail.  It is still very green with lots of wild flowers.  Living near the coast I rarely experience 90 degree weather.  That's what I was in store for on this hike.  There is very little shade.  And a lot of bugs.  As I sit here writing this three days later my legs are covered with small itchy bites.  My fault for not thinking this through and bringing bug repellant.  Despite all that I enjoyed the hike.  The views are great, the trail is well defined.  Having done this hike before I knew about the false peaks.  The ridge is a nice break from constant switch backs.  I am looking forward to doing this hike again.
