My hiking partner and I started out great! Nice day out, got started about 8:30, good clean trail & lots of birds. Didn’t find a lot of consistent descriptions of the hike but think it’s about 10 miles and were able to stay on track because of other hikers. Nice simple easy trail. Then . . . Oh my god! Steep, rocky, like to kill us trail! We ran into a number of 6 pack of peak hikers, which was so much fun, and we sure needed the encouragement. Although when people said it wasn’t that hard I think they were wrong! It may have been that we live at sea level & the altitude got us, for me I was just grateful not to be puking! Certainly a reality check on my fitness level. Overall a lot of fun, looking forward to the next one!
