Go to the parking lot area at around 7:10am and it was already full so we parked on the side of the road. The first 2/3 of the way up the trail was pretty easy to hike. The last leg of the hike up was steep with some rock scrambling and very deceiving – false peak after false peak. Got to the peak in about 2 hrs at 9:15am and the view at the top was amazing. Then we came down the same way we cam up. Again, the steep part of the hike was a little difficult. But the rest was smooth sailing.
The trail was not crowded going up but there seemed to be a lot more people on the way down. There were cars parked all over the roads when we finish.
The weather was perfect somewhere in the high 60s and low to mid 70s. But once you stop at the top it gets cold and windy so bring a light layer if you plan to sit a while up there.
