The adventure starts 2 miles early with the road closure. Proceed with 3 stream crossings before arriving at the parking area for the Holy him trail entrance. The hike is beautiful and full of blooming wildflowers. There is about 5 more stream crossings on the trail before reaching the fire road. Once you hit the fire road there isn’t much shade and it seemed to drag on forever before reaching the summit. We did encounter a rattlesnake (didn’t see it but it definitely made itself heard). The extra 4 miles due to round closure makes this a long one. Bring lots of water and enjoy!!!
