We started out shortly after 6:00 am and took our time hiking to the top. We get a little carried away taking pictures and talking with people we met along the way. I had decided before I even reached the top, that this was my new favorite hike! I fell in love with this mountain, the fresh air. It was absolutely beautiful! I felt physically and mentally stronger on this hike! Because we spent the day taking everything in and taking pictures we got back down around 8:00 pm. We timed it perfectly to see the most amazing sunset in one direction and then when we turned around you could see the “almost” full moon coming up over the opposite mountain. So much better in person than what you see in the pictures. The weather was perfect. A little cloud cover at the top. Not too cold and not too hot! Looking forward to our next adventure at San Jacinto in a few weeks!
