Highly recommend completing this as a sunset hike. You’ll see the moon rising as the sun sets and 360 views of the painted sky. This hike is essentially doing a stair master the whole way so don’t let the short mileage fool you. If you do hike at sunset, remember to pack a layer for the way down as the temperature will noticeably drop after the sun.
