What began as my quest for the 3, 2, 1 Challenge (3 peaks, 2 counties, 1 day) became 1 peak, one day. The snow conditions was more than I expected. In fact, this was my first hike ever in snow! Physically, mentally and the stamina to finish after completion of my first summit I had to abort the 2nd and 3rd peak because snow covered the trail making it impossible to see/navigate. Not even other prints to follow! Who knew this was a problem in  Southern California the last weekend of May?!  I was bummed to not be able to complete that challenge, but happy with my ability to hike in snow and the fact I could still cross my summit off of my Six Pack Challenge so still an accomplishment after all! And I will go back for the 3,2,1 in better weather conditions soon!
