Beautiful day for a hike with my sister. The trail parking was easily passed so watch it. There is a mildly barded wire gate to open and close. Park, the trail is easy to spot. Its nice and wide and clearly marked. Super clear blue skies today with mid 50 degree weather and hardly any wind. We could see 3 peaks in the distance. The first part was quite muddy, but drier as you approach the top. It was challenging down the last stretch because the snow patches were melting and the ground was even more muddy and slippery. The views were great and we enjoyed the experience of our journey to the summit. It was a little unclear where the last final stretch was to the top so me just went off trail to get there. When you go- i recommend that you also visit the Painted Hills area during sunset- what a spectacular treat less than 30 minutes from Sutton mt trailhead.

Hey Vernon! We saw you on the trail on Sunday. We were headed down as you and your sister were headed up. We were lucky that when we started at around 9am the ground was still frozen. No mud to speak of until we came back down.
