It was a beautiful day, started out at the fogged in Stinson Beach, but as I started to ascend the fog began to lift. The temperatures heated up a bit to make sure I was working up a good sweat while carrying my 30lb pack. Once I reached the first clearing I was above the clearing fog. Took a quick lunch break at the Pantol Ranger station before pushing to the summit. Once I reached the peak I set down my big pack enjoyed my summit beer and few snacks while watching all the tourist huffing and puffing making the 1/4 mile jaunt up from the peak parking lot. At this point the fog was only to be seen in the distance over the ocean. Both SF and the East Bay were in clear view. Another beautiful day on top of Tam. The trail back down was a breeze and Steep Ravine was as stunning as ever (probably my favorite Tam trail). The whole trip took me just shy of 8hrs including my breaks. For actual moving time it took me just shy of 6.5hrs. Pretty confident I could of done it in sub 7hrs if I didn't take the time to enjoy the views. Definitely the BEST PEAK YET!
