Three days ago the winds were so high I had to turn back at the top of the ski lift. Today I completed the loop and added Mt Harwood and West Baldly to my peaks. Although easy additions, Mt Harwood offered a Bighorn Sheep siting and West Baldy offered another great angle for a photo of Mt San Antonio. As much as I liked making it to the top of Mt San Antonio, I have to say the real treat was crossing the Devil's Backbone. To me, this was the highlight of the hike. Whenever I drive by mountains I always wonder what it would be like to walk along that ridge, and now I know. So very cool.
