Beautiful day for this hike, the weather was great and the trail for the most part was in good shape, with increasing larger patches of snow/ice as we made our way to the ridge line. We have been wanting to test our micro spikes and the trail provided that. As we neared the ridge line my wife Michelle's phone started ringing? I kept hiking to the switch back just a few feet away, heard Michelle say hold on put it on speaker, in time for our son to tell us we were going to become first time grand parents, Special things happen on the trail.
