3rd Summit and the best hike so far. Started at 6:14am with just 2 cars. Some bugs at the beginning of the trail until we hit the fire road and it was pretty much open from then on. About the second corner we were surprised with breathtaking views. Great views at the top as well but super windy. Good tip is to start as early as you can. It gets really hot on your way back down. Finished around 12pm and the lot was full with cars parked by the side of the road as well.

  1. Great advice to start early. As summer heats up it may be advisable to wait until fall to hike this one.

Out of curiosity, why did you name this “The Human Mountain?”

    1. Just read an info about this and apparently Mount Saint Helena was referred by Wappo as Kanamota which means Human Mountain. Learned something new 😉 Thanks to you and this hike.
