Man, people have been telling me about this hike since I started hiking over a year ago and I finally did it! It was overall amazing and very enjoyable. The elevation did not effect me as much as I thought it would but my legs were definitely worked. The trip to the top is mostly all incline. If you go counter-clockwise, you can take a little break at Baldy Notch, which we did. And good thing because immediately after we had the STEEPEST incline to climb. After that was Devil's Backbone which I really enjoyed and thought was really cool. I think if you have no fear of heights, looking down at everything around you is amazing. The hardest part was the last climb to the peak. I had to mentally coach myself all the way up because I was so tired by then and it was a steep climb but as with every peak, well worth it. We napped, refueled and took pictures for about an hour before taking the Baldy Bowl back down to make the loop. Going down was a little tricky; believe the reviews when they say it is steep and very slippery. I actually fell once but I was fine; just minor scrapes and dust everywhere. The rest of the way down had lots of foliage, rocks and little streams of water; I loved it. Excellent hike that I will definitely do again someday!

Congratulations, DeEdra! That last push from the saddle to the summit IS steep. It always takes my breath away (figuratively AND literally).
Haha I know exactly what you mean. And thanks!
