This is a long one.  Not as steep as if you go up Little Santa Anita Canyon, but it clocks in around 19 miles to the top.  Also, while this trail is called the Toll Road, little of the road remains.  It's now more like a double wide dirt trail that's pretty well leveled all the way to the top.  It's a great trail for groups, as you can hike 2-3 wide and chat it up all the way to the top.  But again, it's 19 miles roundtrip, about 5 miles longer than Little Santa Anita Canyon.

First 1/3 of the trail leads up to the Campground.  There is little to no cover during this portion.  Big huge switchbacks.

Second third is on the west side of the mountain with lot's of cover.  So while it was warm out, this area felt real comfortable.

Final third of the trail is exposed along the ridgelines.  You meet up with the Little Santa Anita Canyon trail about 1/2 through this final section.

There was only one rockslide that was totally blocking the trail.  Not that hard to scramble over.  Go towards the middle of the slide, as the edge of the slide is a cliff.

Cosmic cafe was open.  The fill station faucet was pretty poor flowing.  There was another unmarked fill station in the parking lot that worked a lot better.  Facing Cosmic Cafe as you are approaching it from the trail, it is on the left side, next to the road that goes to overflow parking.  It's in that little group of trees between the parking lots.

We also hit Eaton Canyon Waterfall.  It is really flowing well.  There are a lot of water crossings to get to the waterfall.  And it's about a 1/2 mile hike in rocky terrain.  But it was worth it to soak the feet a bit.
