There are a LOTS of trees down on the trail. Nothing impossible to traverse but a few are difficult. There is snow on the trail but the hard snow crossings don’t occur until about mile 3.6 and the difficulty increases as you get higher. Again, not impossible to cross – I did it with just boots – but I’m told that I’m “special.” Nice views at the top but not as much space at the tower here. It was a good hike made more difficult by the snow but definitely worthwhile.

Hey Loren, is that a sign weighed down on the top by a rock or brick, similar to Colorado’s 14ers? Or did you make that yourself? Nice job, that hike is one of my favorites!
Good morning Andy. The sign I’m holding is made of cut cardboard and written with a big ole magic marker. It was produced by a friend and three of us shared the sign for our pictures. I carried it up in my ruck protected to by a plastic bag.
I hope this helps!
