Today I drove up to the red box picnic area to hike, strawberry peak. The trail was in good condition meaning not too wet, not slippery anywhere. Weather was windy but sunny. I have to be honest I was little afraid of the ridge area as there was areas of rocks land sliding but nothing major or dangerous. I enjoyed climbing up some rock. I definitely had to use my downloaded AllTrails map to stay on course. Thank you to whoever made an arrow out of rocks pointing in the direction of the right trail! And also whoever used what I guess is a trekking pole to line the path. At the top, there were books to sign and lots of signage. I’m very happy! I felt strong and was even able to run most of the way back.
