What a hike!  The perfect day in the 70s, partly sunny, with a little breeze.  I did not know what to expect and chose this as my first peak to summit.  I was fascinated by the ridge walk before and during the hike.  The hike up was full of beautiful waterfall stops, IF seemingly steep and rock to rock.  I need to practice up and gain some trail legs!!  The first view when I spun a 180 in a sunny spot was amazing.  I couldn't wait to get to a peak.  The trial provided and the peaks and ridge showed the contours of the Whites' peaks in all their summer finery.  It wasn't too crowded and there were places to stop and gawk.  Alpine plants and wild flowers were there decorating the footpath as I watched my steps.

Had a short break and a snack in the Greenleaf Hut then finished my way down the trail.   It took longer than I thought it would but I learned a lot about hiking in the hills that I hadn't experienced before.  The things you don't know until you do it!  I did it solo but was in no danger of being alone, so that worked out well.  Had hoped for a burger and a beer after, but needed to head home by the time I got to my car.

I would never have done this loop if not for the 6 Pack of Peaks!  Glad I joined in!
