Gorgeous 360 views at the summit with a cluster of “moon rocks” to set down your gear as you take in ocean and Mountain View’s. We had a perfectly clear day and could see San Francisco skyline and one of the Golden Gate towers with our naked eyes. Lots of wildflowers along the trail. Overall the trail was in good condition but very muddy in some areas. Lots and lots of water flowing down the mountain! We saw a gray fox and some deer. All the surrounding beauty makes up for the very painfully steep inclines to get to the summit. The last mile is brutal and we took it slow. One of the most difficult hikes I have experienced in the Bay Area but worth every step!
