I saved the hardest for last. This was like it was described many places. It has uphill both ways, although the way back was much easier. Very little shade, would only do this on a cooler day. It was a little warm, with cool breezes.
The jeep along the way was interesting.
It was slow going for the last 1/2 mile both on the way up and the way down.
Cool views from the top, but that is why we do this!
As a side note, stayed at a great Airbnb about 4 1/2 miles from trailhead “Hacienda on the Hill” hosted by Scott and Roxanne. Cool people. Had continental breakfast ready for us at 5:45, so we could hit the trail at sunrise (we didn't, but it was close). Hot tub ready when we returned!
