Longest hike I've completed in over 10 years. Great to be back at it! Trail was well maintained, only a couple spots got a little bit muddy, but able to navigate around it. Fairly moderate exertion getting up to top– multiple switchbacks make the elevation very tolerable, even though I'm not in my “best shape” at the moment. Some of the trails, stairways, and the large structure at the top are fenced off due to maintenance/repair. But most is accessible, including the observation decks and informational displays. Mostly foggy over the urban areas of the Bay Area while we were up there, and hazy/overcast above us, but little breeze. Good hiking weather. Going back down was a little more challenging to my knees, and I started getting a couple small blisters on my toes. By the time we got back to the car, I was thankful to be done. But I recommend it to anyone looking for a good challenge.
