Type of Hike:

Day hike

Trail Conditions:

Minor obstacles posing few problems

ROAD:

Road suitable for all vehicles

Bugs:

Bugs were an annoyance

Snow:

Snow free

We opted to backpack to high Creek and summit the following morning. A few obstacles such as downed trees, losing the trail, high winds, and a little altitude symptoms were easily overcome. Maybe because I’m an older hiker now, took a San tire day to get from the Peak back down to our car. Enjoyed the beautiful forest and the water flow very much.

Maybe because I’m an older hiker now, took an entire day to get from the Peak back down to our car.

Celebrating the accomplishment, however..

  1. Awesome job, Char!

By the way, where did you lose the trail? How was the Vivian Creek route overall? Not a lot of info since the storm.

    1. Hi Jeff

The water was flowing great all the way to high creek then it is time to carry. We did manage to get off the trail one time due to storm damage, but our GPS got us right back very quick. The recent AllTrails log talks about a few downed trees that we easily could pass over.lots of people on this trail. Let me know if you would like to know anything else.
