What was supposed to be a nice day (well as nice of a day as one can expect in the Whites in spring), turned into a cold and rainy day. My mom and I could hardly see a thing and was hard to tell exactly where we were. But through the wind, fog, cold rain (even some freezing rain), and my mothers injured knee, we prevailed. We had planned on doing a Pemi Loop but had to cut our hike short because of her knee, but we still were able to summit Lincoln! Sadly due to the weather, neither of us were able to get good pictures at the summit, but we did see this very cool rock that looked ever so precariously placed in this ledge! We plan on going back to finish our Pemi Loop and hopefully get some better pictures from the summit! Maybe next time I'll be able to bring my dog to help accomplish my goal of doing as many of these peaks as possible!

  1. Sometimes fog and clouds are what you get. That’s disappointing sometimes for the photos, but the ever-changing weather on the mountains makes each summit a different experience.
