It was a cool day, maybe 75 in that area…well not on this trail. Hot winds started around 10am. TAKE A LOT OF WATER.
I got there around 7:30am and started up the trails. Did the first 3 miles in an hour and then the next 2.4 to the summit in just over an hour. Hung out a little at the top where it was cool and misty clouds were flying by in the wind.
The descent is almost as difficult on this trail so be prepared.
Be sure to check out the fruit stand by Blue Sky Ranch with a mile to go. A tangerine never tasted so good as at the end of a hard hike.
