Lovely hike on a beautiful day! Gradual incline that is much easier than Piestewa and Camelback. You have to watch your steps as there is a lot of loose gravel but no big boulders to climb over. The views along the way are beautiful. You will see the greenest and most beautiful saguaros. I suggest stopping along the way several times and taking a minute to enjoy. Once you get to the top…it is stunning! There are many places to sit and relax. Bring a lunch and stay awhile and take in all that Weavers Needle has to offer. The hike took longer than we thought but we enjoyed every minute. Go first thing in the morning or you may get really hot. There are not a lot of places with shade. Also…wait to get your car washed till after 🙂 the road is very dusty to get to the trailhead.
