My first time on this trail. I took the Five Oaks trail detour which had beautiful views of Julian and the valley, which absolutely made the hike all on its own. Top views were spectacular, and I enjoyed seeing the environment change from green on one side to desert on the other.
I dedicated this hike to my friend Travis, who passed away July of 2016. He taught me the value of being an old soul with the heart of a child
