Hi y’all!
My family and I arrived at the trailhead at 7am. There were a few hikers already parked at the trail but it wasn’t busy. After walking past the apple orchard you arrive at the trail entrance. There were two porta potties here.
This trail is very easy to navigate and quite a bit of shade. Great if you’re new to hiking. It’s a little steep at first but once it opens up it’s a fairly easy trail. We reached the summit, had a snack and then headed for the 5 Oaks trail to take a different route down. I would definitely recommend adding this to your hike. Overall the trail was in great condition but there was a lot of dog poo left behind which was a bummer.
This was our first peak in the six pack and we can’t to bag the next one!

Nicely done, family! That’s a fun hike that even our labradoodle enjoyed. (though we most certainly picked up her poop).
Thanks Jeff! We wanted to our mini Aussie but she taps out at around 3 miles lol.
