Hiked with my sister-in-law’s fiancé, Eric.  Beautiful day, sunny skies and a good breeze at times. The bugs swarmed Eric the entire time and but somehow left me pretty much alone not sure why. But bring buy spray just in case. We saw a rabbit, a snake, a tarantula and some of the biggest “little” lizards I’ve seen in SD county must be the plentiful supply of bugs to eat. I particularly liked the top section in which looking right you can see to the ocean while like left you can see to the desert, such an amazing contrast. We took the Five Oak trail section on the way down but think in hindsight it might have been better to take it on the way up. Also note that there is a picnic table at the top where you can have lunch in the shade.
