The hike started out mellow. Then we hit a fog layer which was fine until we had a few moments of rain. As we progressed we then hit some windy spots. They didn’t last long as we frequently turned the direction as the trail switchback frequently. For a moment we thought the weather was changing for the better as we looked down on a sunny valley. We did come across a few problems when we came to some forks; there were no sign posts. This only became a real problem near the summit. We took the wrong fork. The trails were covered in snow and slush (1-2” deep). It was a steep grind in very windy low viability conditions only to realize we went the wrong way. After quickly realizing our mistake we made to the summit. It was only a brief stop as the wind and fog made it quite uncomfortable. Fortunately we drew an arrow in the snow to mark our way home.
