This hike was a tough one! It was hot (probably upper 70s/low 80s) and there were SO MANY BUGS. We were basically bathing in sweat, suncreen, and bug spray. After this 14-mile 4150′ adventure, I couldn't WAIT to take a shower. It was strange getting to the top and seeing a little cafe and observatory that people could just drive to. Nonetheless, the views were beautiful, and it felt awesome getting the first peak of the six-pack out of the way. We brought a change of clothes if we chose to take a detour to the falls on our descent, but we all decided we were just too tired and not wanting to stay any longer. We will definitely be back to ONLY enjoy the falls next time.
